Why the hike?
One of the finest trekking places in Karnataka, India which Offers mind blowing views. A spiritual and divine trek to the abode of Sri Siddarameshwara swamy.
A small temple dedicated to lord Sri Siddarameshwara is on the way to hill top. This will be a good resting point wherein floating water stream available throughout the year.

How to reach?

The nearest town is Karwar. There will be a limited public transport to the village ‘Shirve’. Other way is to reach Devalamakki village and walk 3.5KM to reach Shirve village. The trek starts from the Shirve village. The upward 3 KMs takes to the Siddarameshara temple. From here one can see the Shirve peak. From here all trekkers and visitors are advised to take off shoes/slippers and trek 4 KMs to reach the hill top. Its a sacred and divine place and its the custom to trek with bare foot.
Why Prakruthi Outdoors to hike Shirve?
The trail is remote. The nearest hospital and restaurants are 29 KMs away. No hotels or accommodation available in Shirve. This is dangerous to trek without guide. The hill is home to various wild animals including Russel’s vipers. Also there will be a limited or no support during the hike for any unforeseen or dangerous situation.
We arrange guided trek by taking utmost security of the visitors.

Open round the clock. Best time is post monsoon between Jul - Oct. Every year on 16-Jan there will be religious fair where thousands of devotees gather and offer pooja to Lord Siddarameshwara. Also overnight yakshagaana / drama will be conducted by local people

According to Census 2011 information the location code or village code of Shirve village is 602620. Shirve village is located in  Karwar taluka of Uttara Kannada district in Karnataka, India. It is situated 30km away from Karwar, which is both district & sub-district headquarter of Shirve village. As per 2009 stats, Devalmakki is the gram panchayat of Shirve village.

The total geographical area of village is 2589.85 hectares. Shirve has a total population of 402 peoples, out of which male population is 201 while female population is 201. Literacy rate of shirve village is 63.93% out of which 73.13% males and 54.73% females are literate. There are about 83 houses in shirve village. Pincode of shirve village locality is 581400.

Karwar is nearest town to Shirve village for all major economic activities, which is approximately 30km away.

Day 1: Departure
Departure at 8:30PM IST from Bengaluru. Based on the group size, the mode of transport will be arranged

Day 2: Adventure Beggins
6AM IST - Reach Karwar 6AM- 8AM - Fresh up and have breakfast 8:15 AM - Travel 30 KM from Karwar to Shirve village 9AM - Reach Shirve village 9AM - Start Trek. 10 AM - Reach Siddarameshwara temple. Have rest for sometime. Offer pooja to lord and resume trek Note - Leave shoes/slippers in the temple premise. Thereafter one has to trek in bare foot. 12 PM - Reach top of the hill 12 PM - 2 PM - Enjoy the panaromic views. witness and offer pooja to nandi statue in the hillock. Visit the small well beside the hill. Have packed lunch and rest for sometime. 2PM - start descend 3PM - Reach Lord Siddarameshwara temple. Relax for sometime. 4PM - Reach Shirve village and then headback to Karwar 5PM - Reach Karwar. Transport to hotel. Freshup. 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM - Visit Ravindranath Tagore beach. Witness sunset. 7PM - 8:30PM- Have dinner and share experience 9PM - Headback to Bengaluru
