Manaslu means “mountain of the spirit” derived from the Sanskrit word manasa, meaning “intellect” or “soul”. So its a mountain of Soul….! Manaslu circuit trek is a beautiful classic himalayan off-the-beaten trek located in the Manaslu region. Manaslu Himal, the eighth tallest mountain peak in the world, is part of the Mansiri Himalayan sub-range.

Manaslu Trek is one of the best treks in Nepal and should be in every Himalayan trekkers bucket list.

Day 1: Reach Kathmandu
WELCOME TO NEPAL...!!! Nepal welcomes you. Representative from Prakruthi Outdoors will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport Get a glimse of Kathmandu, Nepalese capital, a vibrant city rich in history, culture, and loveliness.

Night stay at 3 star hotel.

Day 02: - Kathmandu sight seeing + Permission process
Half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu covering Pashupathi natha swamy temple Also today, as per new Nepal govt. rule, with original passport and visa, we will get the required trekking permission. Stay -  3 star hotel Accommodation.

Day 03 : Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola
Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola (710 m/2329 ft) 8 – 9 hrs, Today afre breakfast, we drive towards Sotikhola. Expect to reach around 5PM and rest of the day spend time in Tea house.

Day 04: Trek from Soti Khola to Macche Khola
Trek from Soti Khola to Macche Khola (900 m /2952 ft ) 6 – 7 hrs, Tea House Accommodation.

Day 05: Trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat
Today we trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat (1410 m/ 4625 ft) 6 – 7 From Macchakola, the path continue to KhorlaBesi. After a dense forest along the BudhiGandaki and we will reach Tatopani to enjoy the natural hot springs. After Tatopani, we cross the BudhiGandaki and continue walking in the forest before it clears out for the beautiful settlement of Dobhan. After Dobhan, we continue uphill climb to Syalabhatti where we stop for lunch and then carry onto Yaruphant. After Yaruphant, the valley opens up again and it’s a long but enjoyable walk along the BudhiGandaki to Jagat village.

Day 06: Trek to Jagat to Deng
Torday we Trek from Jagat to Deng (7187 m /23,573 ft) 5- 6 hrs   After having breakfast, you ascend and reach Salleri. The trail then descends to Sirdibas and continues to Ghatta Khola. Crossing a long suspension bridge in Philim, your trek by millet fields to reach Ekle Bhatti. From here, the trail steeply ascends and then descends to a grassy slope. You cross Budhi Gandaki and walk along the bank. Further, you cross the east bank of the river and walk through lush forests of Bamboo that lead to Deng Khola and ultimately to Deng village.

Day 07: Trek from Deng to Namrung
Trek from Deng to Namrung (2630 m /8626 ft) 5 – 6 hrs, From Deng, we start getting nice views of the big mountains – SingriHimal is the most prominent one on the horizon here. It’s a challenging start to the day with 2 hours of uphill climb through scenic dense forest. We walk across few landslides, wrecked houses and desserted village caused by the earthquake that hit the region in April 2015. But once the forest clears out, we can see the Buddhist settlement of Ghapsya with great views. After having lunch at Ghapsya, we continue towards Namrung. It’s a nice pleasant walk through bamboo forest and gradual climb towards Namrung.

Day 08: Trek from Namlung to Samagaon
Trek from Namlung to Samagaon (3530 m/11,578 ft) 6 – 7 hrs   Since we are at reasonably high altitude now, from today our walking hours start getting shorter as we allow our bodies to acclimatise to the altitude. From Namrung it’s an easy and gradual climb to Lihi and then onto Lho. We are now deeply entrenched in Buddhist settlements as is visible through the increased number of monasteries. Lho is dominated by a large Gompa - the Gompa and its dormitories are located on the slopes of a hill above the village. The top of the hill is the best viewpoint to first (and some would say best) view of Mount Manaslu. With its “fishtail” twin peaks, you witness Manaslu in all it’s glory as it fades during sunset. It is even better during sunrise, when the morning glow shines on it’s very summit. We have lunch at Lho and then go for an acclimatisation walk to view the Manaslu peak.

Day 09: Exploring Pungyen gompa
Exploring Pungyen gompa (3530 m/11,578 ft)  
Pungen Gompa - Is where the mountains..!!This place offers stunning panoramic views accompanied by the spiritual chants of the monks. whisper. It is also known as Pung Gyen Gompa, is a  Buddhist monastery.

Day 10: Trek from Samagaon — Samdo
Trek from Samagaon — Samdo (3860 m/12,661 ft) 4 – 5 hrs, After breakfast at Samagaun, The trail descends to Budhi Gandaki and crosses a bridge over a side stream. You will follow the left side trail and pass through many mani walls. You then move through dense forests of birch and juniper and cross Budhi Gandaki on a wooden bridge. Further, a steep ascent will take you to Samdo, where we spend the night

Day 11: Rest Day in Samdo
Rest Day in Samdo (3860 m/12,661 ft).Today we do a  short hike to get acclimatize.

Day 12: Trek from Samdo — Dharamsala
Trek from Samdo — Dharamsala/Larkya B. C. (4450 m/14,596 ft) 4- 5 hrs Today we trek to Dharamsala and rest early.

Trek from Dharamsala — Larke la pas
Trek from Dharamsala — Larke la pass (5160 m / 16924 ft) Bimthang (3590m / 117776 ft) 8 – 9 hrs   Today, we wake up early in the morning and begin walking towards the north side of Larkya Glacier. Passing by moraines, you slowly ascend on a steep path to Larkya La Pass. From the top of the pass, you get to see outstanding views of Mt. Annapurna II, Mt. Kanguru, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, etc. Further, the trail descends to Bimtang where we'll be spending the night.

Day 14: Trek from Bimthang — Tilije
Trek from Bimthang — Tilije (2300 m/ 7544 ft) The descent from Bhimthang is beautiful as we return to tree line and lush green vegetation. The forest is as rich in diversity as anything we’ve seen so far as we walk first through fir and then rhododendron forest. It’s an easy walk down from Gowa to Tilche on a dirt road.

Day 15: Trek from Tilije — Dharapani and drive to Besishar
Trek from Tilije — Dharapani (3–4 hours) and drive to Besishar (825 m / 2706 ft) From Tilije one can go drive back to Pokhara. However to have explore classic Himalayan range, we trek to  Dharapani and drive to Besishar.

Day 16: Drive back from Besishar to Kathmandu
Drive to Kathmandu on a comfortable vehicle. 7 – 8 hrs, Hotel Accommodation.

Day 17: Final departure.
Farewell from all of us at Prakruthi Outdoors. We will drop you to Airport and bid you bon voyage.
