Gavi Ranganatha Swamy hillock is very less explored and pristine. It’s only known to locals. Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple is present in the large natural cave structure in the hill. During the Shraavana maasa (auspicious day) once in a year, hundreds of devotees visit the hillock and offer pooja to lord Ranganatha.
Perfect for one day trek from Bengaluru. It’s about 15 min hike to reach the temple from the base. There is another route to step on to the top of the hillock which is meant only for trekkers.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Start journey from Bengaluru at 7 AM
Day 1 – Have breakfast on the way. With packed lunch and snacks, reach to the base point at 10AM. Trek for 30 minutes to reach the cave temple
Day 1 – Offer pooja to lord Ranganatha swamy. Admire the surrounding nature. Relax on top of the hillock. Have lunch
Day 1- Return journey to Bengaluru. Reach Bengaluru around 7 PM
